Prof. Dr. Andree Kirchner, LL.M.

Professor of International Law

Prof. Dr. Kirchner is an advisory partner of the law firm MLS LEGAL since 2005.

He is also the director of the Institute for IT, Media and Intellectual Property Law and managing director of the Hugo Grotius gGmbH - non-profit Society for the Advancement of Legal Sciences as well as Professor of International Law at the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven and guest lecturer at the University of Bremen and at the English speaking and private Jacobs University Bremen.

2019-2022: Prof. Dr. Kirchner was a member of the Supervisory Board of the familie redlich AG in Berlin.

He has published and edited several books and articles.

Prof. Dr. Kirchner studied law at the University of Marburg, the University of Kiel, the University of Stockholm and the University of Hamburg. He completed his Masters at the University of Stockholm and his Ph.D. (Dr.iur.) at the University of Hamburg in international law. After his law studies he was a research intern at two institutions of the United Nations in London and Nairobi, Kenya, before he was an independent advisor of international law at the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). Pf. Dr. Kirchner was also a managing director of a business consultancy in Bremen, Germany und Mumbai (Bombay), India.
